@usafireandrescue You ought to try it with a bottle of beer, so yummy! You are in the Buckeye State a long way away from here. I live on a small island off of the extreme south west coast of Canada. I think you'd probably dig this place if you are into relaxing and peace and quiet. I just drove through town on my way home and after 9pm our main town is a ghost town because everything shuts down and I mean everything, lol. Happy Easter Amy. Cheers

I love a roast done in the crock pot. We have the exact same pot as your's. My wife always empties a bottle of beer in with roast, and slow cooks it. The beer soaks right into the meat giving it a nice flavour.. Your's looks awesome!

@dundura123The chicken stock would be ULTRA! :-) (yeah... there's the 'salt' thing, but we've all got to go 'SOMETIME'! If not by salt, then hit by a BUS or something- ...SALT is much more fun! ;-) I've also started using just plain mushroom soup (generic), since I already use garlic... Besides, the "Campbell's® Condensed Cream Of Mushroom Roasted Garlic Soup" costs almost TWICE as much as the regular!

@RonRay thanks....I was just about to call my momma and ask about how she makes the gravey...then I read this...also why don't people add chicken stock instead of water? too much salt?
