I guess Stanyard Ridgeway the lead singer lived pretty close to the border when he was a kid and could receive hi-frequency broadcasts on his radio from Mexico. I saw him on MTV 20 years ago and that is how I remember him explaining it. Great song...

Yeah I think so too.. I've been living in Tijuana for over 4 years now (those who like to visit might want to wait it's getting really bad here - 10 homicides this weekend and well over 150 in just the last few weeks :( ) and still haven't seen any barbequed Iguana lol.. but this has been one of my favorite songs since moving to Mexico which is why I'm adding it to my playlist after those b*tches at youtube deleted a certain playlist I always used to see it in without warning or explanation :(
