the trait of a great song is, to me, that it conveys its emotion without enslaving the listener to its lyrics; ie the song can becomes personal to the listener. I know what it says to me and you know what it invokes in you(by your comments). as for the video, yes its a 'wee bit s***',but then again, its ambiguity never betrays the song. Besides,in this case, the song is the vehicle,not the promo(for once).just love it...

the message is that our lives our forever crossing oneanother, and that often its people you've met beforebut don't want to cross again. your wouldn't think "crosses" signifies a freindly meeting.. it signifies conflict, and pain of how you can have someone in your life and then the next they could be crossing the boulevard just as you.
