That tears me apart to read this. I am a father to a 1 year old mini Dachsie double dapple and that little guy is my son. I can't imagine this happening to my Kirby. Sometimes I get scared with my father taking him out to our local parks without a leash to just run around (i.e. cars nearby), but he's very careful with his dogs and takes them out daily. However, I think I will start making him use a leash now after reading this.

I feel so sorry to you....You were such a good owner to her....I have 2 dogs that died...1 is a golden retriever and 1 is a dashound....I have alot of cats that died..My dog(new one)was pregnant and had 6 pups...2 died...3 was given away....1 was kept...
